Tropical Storm Verbena and four weather systems will bring rains and cloudy skies in several areas in the country on Wednesday, PAGASA said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.
At 3 a.m., the center of Verbena was estimated at 120 kilometers West of Coron, Palawan with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h. It is moving west northwestward at 25 km/h.
Palawan will experience rains with gusty winds as a result of the tropical storm. Residents are warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains. There is minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds, PAGASA said.
Cordillerra Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line.
Metro Manila, and the rest of MIMAROPA, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Aklan, and Antique will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the trough of the tropical cyclone.
Cloudy skies with rains are expected in the Ilocos Region and Batanes due to the Northeast Monsoon.
Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and Bicol Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.
