A golden retriever who was desperate for a friend finally got everything she wanted when her owners brought home another puppy–and now their friendship is melting hearts across the internet.
An adorable video was shared on TikTok by user @nalabance showing the incredible bond between golden retriever Nala and her puppy sibling, Buddy. The video explains that Nala was “always desperate to make friends,” whether it was dogs she met on her walks, while out with her humans, or even just inanimate objects. She really didn’t mind what they were, she just wanted a friend.
During the clip, Nala can be seen trying to engage in playtime with anyone she encountered. But earlier this year, everything changed when her owners brought home a new sibling–another golden retriever called Buddy.
Internet users can’t get enough of the precious friendship between Nala and Buddy, as the TikTok video shows just how well the pair gets along. The video has gone viral in just a matter of days, leading to more than 1.1 million views and over 243,500 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.

Alongside the clip, Nala’s owner called it their “favorite friendship” in the TikTok caption.
As soon as Nala and Buddy were introduced, she “loved him” straight away and there was no stopping their wagging tails. Nala can be seen smiling constantly and doing everything she could to be close to the new addition.
The caption layered over the TikTok clip says that she “followed him everywhere” and likewise, Buddy “instantly loved her too.” Now, the duo is totally inseparable, and they’ve formed an enviable sibling bond.
Nala and Buddy love nothing more than playing together, snoozing on top of each other, and following each other everywhere.
After Nala and Buddy became TikTok sensations, their friendship has continued to melt hearts. The account regularly shares videos of the siblings doing everything together, from snoozing lazily or causing the typical golden retriever mischief.
Since going viral, the TikTok post has amassed over 460 comments already, as many people hailed the transformation in Nala since her owners finally granted her greatest wish.
