Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are scheduled for a matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. For Golden State, they are closing out a back-to-back set after coming up way short against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Heading into Tuesday’s action, the Warriors were unsure about Curry’s status. He missed three games in a row, which included matchups against the Spurs, Denver Nuggets, and the Indiana Pacers. Although he was questionable for the matchup against the Thunder, Curry played. However, he was on a restriction.

“It was alright. Anytime you have a… You can probably still hear it, but anytime you have a cold-type vibe and you’re sitting in bed dealing with that, and it takes a little bit to get back, but I felt great physically just trying to get my wind back, which is the biggest deal,” Curry told reporters.

“I’m happy with where I am now, considering the week I’ve had.”

The Warriors couldn’t confirm or deny whether Curry would be on the court for Wednesday’s action against the Spurs. He told reporters on Tuesday night that he was hopeful of playing.

The Warriors Make a Decision on Curry’s Status

When the Warriors revealed their initial injury report on Wednesday afternoon, it didn’t include Curry, signaling he’s on pace to play as planned.

So far, Curry has appeared in nine games for the Warriors this season, seeing the court for a little under 30 minutes per game. Despite the slight dip in minutes compared to last year, Curry is averaging 25 points per game, while making 44 percent of his shots and knocking down 37 percent of his threes. Those numbers are on par with last year’s.

While the scoring is slightly up for Curry, his playmaking has seen a dip. After averaging 6.0 assists last year, he has averaged just 3.8 assists per game this season.

The Warriors are looking to avoid falling into a two-game losing streak. They are currently struggling on the road, winning just one of their seven games away from home. Wednesday’s game in San Antonio will be a tough challenge for the 6-6 Warriors, who trail the Portland Trail Blazers as the Western Conference’s ninth seed.
