Nationwide national parks generated more than 2.2 billion baht in the 2025 fiscal year, an increase of more than 8 million baht on the previous year, reflecting the growing popularity of eco-tourism among local and international visitors.

Atthapol Charoenchansa, director-general of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, said Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park in Krabi earned the highest revenue with 648.9 million baht, followed by Mu Ko Similan National Park in Phangnga (197.2 million baht), Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima (138.4 million baht), Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai (131.2 million baht), and Khao Laem Ya–Mu Ko Samet National Park in Rayong (121.5 million baht).

He said the new tourism season that began in October has seen Mu Ko Similan's earnings rise by 11.53% to 11 million baht.

All national parks are also advancing the Zero Food Waste initiative to minimise waste and promote sustainable tourism in line with national environmental policies, he added.
