The giant boarded facade at Jewel Changi Airport has come down, unveiling the latest store to arrive in the space. Swiss sportswear brand On has opened its first retail flagship store in Singapore, promising a unique shopping experience for customers in the running community.
The massive two-storey store spans 9,300 square feet in area, boasting a retail concept that is rooted in On’s “Dream On” philosophy. The store’s design concept itself is inspired by Singapore, known not only for its skyscrapers and architecture but also for the coastal running routes.
When entering the store, visitors may be enticed by one of the highlights of On Store Jewel Changi Airport – the Magic Wall. It is a sleek, modular installation that allows customers to find and try their ideal shoes with ease, with interactive displays showcasing why On’s signature CloudTec cushioning and Speedboard technology are so coveted.
Besides featuring footwear like the Cloudmonster and Cloudrunner hero models, level 1 of On Jewel Changi Airport has other products to check out. Dubbed the Performance Zone, the space is also dedicated to warm-weather technical apparel. In fact, during its opening launch, the store is running the Zendaya x On “ZONE DREAMERS” campaign, focusing on showcasing training gear designed for movement, versatility, and cultural relevance.
If you’ve been keeping up with the brand, you’ll also be able to look forward to their new LightSpray technology making its debut in Singapore in the near future. It is a revolutionary process that eschews the traditional methods of weaving, knitting, cutting, and sewing—instead, using a robotic arm to spray an ultralight, one-piece upper. The result is a unique racing shoe without laces or a tongue that is exceptionally lightweight.
The second level holds the Lifestyle & Expansion Zones. Here, you can find a tennis performance zone that features products co-designed with Roger Federer. Visitors can also check out the lifestyle footwear wall that has everyday shoes like the Cloudtilt and Cloud 6. For outdoor performance, there is a section that carries travel-ready models like the Cloudultra and Cloudrock. And lastly, get the children laced up and ready to run with the dedicated kids’ collection as well.
While the store is mainly a retail space, it will also serve as the home of the On Run Club Singapore, with initiatives such as weekly group runs, training sessions, and workshops planned to occur.
