UK visa fees are rising – here’s what you’ll pay and when

The cost of obtaining a UK visa will increase next month under new Home Office changes.

Application fees will rise on April 9 and affect various categories including work, study and visit visas. The Home Office is also changing naturalisation fees and sponsorship fees for employers.

The data was updated last month after the Government was criticised for changes to its work visa. A report showed that confusion around the ‘skilled worker’ element had led to thousands more migrants claiming asylum in Britain.

The Home Office typically updates its fees and policies every April, before the new financial year.

The Standard has contacted the department for comment.
