Liverpool have again been linked with interest in Nottingham Forest defender Murillo.
The Reds were last year named by the Daily Mail among four clubs monitoring the centre-back's progress at the City Ground, having impressed during his debut season with Forest.
Murillo, who cost £11million in August 2023, was a standout performer on Tuesday night as Forest earned a deserved point at home to Liverpool to move into second in the league.
The Brazilian is reportedly in discussions over an extension to the five-year deal he signed 18 months ago, which would hand him a hefty pay rise, but the Reds are again being linked.
As for Murillo's future ambitions, he has made no secret of his admiration for Liverpool.
He told Tribuna last year: "I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I thought: ‘I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year and then I’ll go to a big club.' I had that in my head.
"I'd choose Manchester City but it would be more difficult for me to be a regular starter given the players they have in their squad,d.
"There's City, Arsenal as well, who are fighting for the Premier League title. I wouldn’t discard Liverpool either, it would be a good opportunity for me to show my football in a big club."
