Liam Rosenior has revealed he and Chelsea’s co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart will make a decision on whether to make any January signings later in the month.
Rosenior is preparing to take charge of Chelsea for the second time on Wednesday when Arsenal visit Stamford Bridge for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Chelsea are expected to have a quiet winter window this year but the Blues are open to market opportunities that may arise.
The £286million spent by Chelsea on signings in January 2023 is the most any club has ever spent in a single winter window, but the Blues have not got close to that in the two January windows since.
Asked whether Chelsea will make signings before the window closes on February 2, Rosenoir said: “The first conversation I had with the guys is that I want to assess the most important players, which is the guys that are here.
“Normally, you get good surprises if you give people a chance. I got some really good surprises in the game against Charlton.
“The performance from some of the players who maybe haven’t played as much this season was outstanding. I want to give them a chance.
“Yes, we’re in January and, yes, we want the club to be as successful as possible in the short term, but I also think sometimes the answers lay within the building and not outside.”
Rosenior added: “So I’ll make a decision on that with the guys, probably later in the window when I’ve seen everyone play.”
