We’re just days away from the weekend, and with the new year in full swing, it’s the perfect time to check out the upcoming Transport for London (TfL) closures if you’re planning to get out and about in London

As with most weekends, TfL will undertake essential maintenance on various lines, which means some stations will be partially or completely closed at different times.

Be sure to use the TfL app or website for the latest London Underground updates and to plan your journey accordingly.

Here’s everything we know so far.

London Underground station closures

Friday, January 17

On the Jubilee line, Southwark station will be closed after 11pm on Friday. Additionally, services will be suspended until 4.15am from Green Park station to Finchley Road station. This closure will also apply on Saturday, January 18.

Saturday, January 18

No Green Park to Stratford service during the Saturday Night Tube will run on the Jubilee line.

All other services appear to be running as usual.

Sunday, January 19

No Maidenhead to Reading service will run on the Elizabeth line until 12.15pm.

London Overground station closures

On the Lioness line, there will be no service between Euston and Kilburn High Road until 12pm and after 8.30pm on Sunday.

On the Mildmay line, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Stratford — and between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction on Sunday.

On the Weaver line, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town or Cheshunt until 10.15am on Sunday.

On the Windrush line, trains will not stop at Canada Water between 3.30am and 4.30am during the Friday night service.

Also on the Windrush line, there will be no service between Sydenham and Crystal Palace until Monday, January 20.
