TV-movie actress Sue Ramirez and her family are breathing a sigh of relief, after her mom Concepcion “Chit” Garina is finally done with her open heart surgery.
It has been a roller-coaster of emotions for the family of Sue these past few days. Mommy Chit was originally scheduled to undergo the operation on January 7 but was postponed due to her contracting pneumonia.
In a recent update on her personal Instagram page yesterday, January 13, the actress stated that her mom is in recovery and asked everyone to continue to pray for her.
She also expressed her gratitude to Mommy Chit's entire medical team for taking care of her.
“My mom's procedure is done and she's currently in recovery.”
“We're thankful for the medical team @asianhospitalph and appreciate all the prayers and messages. Please keep her in your thoughts as she heals.”

Sue is half-American. Her dad, James Peter Dodd, is a senior officer at the US State Department, while Concepcion Garina hails from Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
