Two Mirandas in one frame? We totally love that!

Meryl Streep and Vogue head honcho Anna Wintour, widely believed to have inspired Streep’s iconic role in “The Devil Wears Prada,” are the stars of Vogue Magazine’s May 2026 cover issue!

On Instagram, the magazine shared the latest cover image featuring the two pop culture icons in regal and high-fashion outfits. It was taken by none other than Annie Leibovitz/

“What happens when you put Meryl Streep and Anna Wintour—the two Mirandas, as it were—in a room together?” Vogue asked.

Sharing the cover image in a carousel post, Vogue Head of Editorial Content Chloe Malle said it was Meryl who was able to convince Anna to appear on the cover.

Narrating how she asked her boss to be on a cover with Meryl, she called Anna responding, "That's very flattering, Chloe, but it's not really my style."

"Months later, it turned out to be Meryl who finally convinced her, and I am so grateful. What a way to memorialize a moment in our culture," she said.

In the cover interview conducted by "Barbie" director Greta Gerwig, the stars talk about fashion, family, friendship, and the highly anticipated sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada.”

The magazine cover is accompanied by cute social media videos of Meryl and Anna and behind-the-scenes clips of their shoot.

In September 2025, the two were spotted interacting at Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2026 fashion show in Milan Fashion Week.

Aside from Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt will all reprise their respective roles in the highly anticipated sequel.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” will also feature the appearances of Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, and Justin Theroux.

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" is set for a theatrical release on May 1.

Part of the sequel will take place in Milan, Italy, Reuters reported.

The original "The Devil Wears Prada" film adapted Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 bestselling novel of the same name. The movie was a box-office success, earning $326.7 million worldwide.

A stage musical adaptation, featuring music by Elton John, premiered in 2022.
