The Straw Hats are off to Alabasta next year!

Netflix just announced that the third season of “One Piece” is coming in 2027 through a desert-themed teaser.

More importantly, the series title, “The Battle of Alabasta,” hints at what many fans have been hoping for: that the entirety of the third season would focus on the Alabasta Arc.

Season 2 ended with the Straw Hat Pirates leaving Drum Island, with the intention of escorting Vivi to her home country, Alabasta, which is on the verge of civil war.

Throughout the season, the crew also went head to head with the assassins of Baroque Works, whose leader is waiting for them in Alabasta.

In Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, the Alabasta Arc is the first major saga in the story, and features key characters such as Vivi Nefertari, Portgas D. Ace, Nico Robin, Sir Crocodile, and Captain Smoker, among others. The live action series has cast Charithra Chandran, Xolo Maridueña, Lera Abova, Joe Manganiello, and Callum Kerr for said roles.

"One Piece" stars Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Taz Skylar (Sanji), and Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp).

The first season premiered on Netflix in 2023 and and the second season was released last month.
