BTS drops surprise MV for '2.0'

02/04/2026 02:31:00

BTS just dropped a surprise music video for “2.0!”

The cinematic music video was inspired by the Korean film "Oldboy," directed by Park Chan Wook, which is iconic for its corridor fight scene.

RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook get out of an elevator wearing suits and then fight off thugs with their dance moves.

The boys later dance inside a restroom and an abandoned building. At one point in the video, they change clothes inside an elevator before dancing again.

The music video shows BTS at their core, with their synchronized dance moves, intense lyrics about being brand new, and cool outfits to top it off.

“2.0” is BTS' second MV in their "Arirang" era following "Swim," which starred "Riverdale" actress Lili Reinhart. On YouTube, it's already generated more than 8.5M views less than 12 hour after airing.

BTS made their highly anticipated comeback in March with "Arirang" after a four-year hiatus. The new album, led by the single "Swim," has broken records and earned the group new career highs.

"Arirang" earned BTS their seventh no. 1 album on the Billboard 200, while "Swim" earned them their seventh no. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their documentary “BTS: The Return” was released in March.

BTS also teased that their variety show “Run BTS” is returning on on April 7, 8 p.m. Philippine time.

They are famous for hits "Dynamite," "Butter," "Fake Love," "Idol," and many more.
