David Archuleta made Filipino fans happy with his latest Instagram Reel!
In the video, the American singer impressed with his cover of “Nandito Ako” by Ogie Alcasid. David flexed his soulful vocals as he sang acapella.
“Who remembers this one?” David said in his caption.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the cover, and said it was so nostalgic.
“GOD THIS BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIES. I remember being [there] in the concert scene,” a fan said.
Another supporter said, “David really killed the vocals and the pronunciation!”
“How could I ever forget. Oooh the nostalgia and memories hearing just that first note being,” a fan said.
David is headed back to Manila on November 21 for the "Playback Pop It Up Music Festival" at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Vanessa Carlton and Blue are also part of the lineup.
David previously showed his love for Filipino music and his fans by covering “Rainbow” by South Border and “Forevermore” by Side A.
He also starred in the teleserye “Nandito Ako” in 2012.
In 2024, David was thrilled to be back in the Philippines and reunite with his Pinoy fans for his "Playback Presents: The Best of David Archuleta Live in Manila" concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
While here, he was delighted to have Filipino mangoes and also got to try lambanog and Filipino desserts.
David is known for the songs “Crush,” “A Little Too Not Over You,” and “Something ‘Bout Love.”
