The city government, led by Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy, is focusing on families in its governance efforts.

This was emphasized by Sheila Lumbatan, the Mayor’s Office Chief of Staff, during the ‘Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo’ event in Barangay Bonbon on Saturday morning, September 14, 2024.

This program, which served 2,110 residents, aims to meet the needs of families in various barangays.

Lumbatan said Mayor Uy believes that focusing on families will help build a supportive and united community.

Every Saturday, ‘Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo’ brings essential services like healthcare and legal assistance to different barangays. Recently, Barangay Bonbon benefited from these services.

Local leaders, including barangay captains and City Council members, joined the event to show their support. Carmen barangay chair Raineir Joaquin “KapKik” Uy expressed pride in the city’s focus on family welfare.

During the event, Lumbatan said mayor Uy officiated the wedding of 34 couples in a free ‘Kasalan ng Bayan’ ceremony, part of the ‘Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo’ initiative.
