The human body has seven energy centers, known as chakras. Each chakra plays a unique role in our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) is the center of communication, self-expression, and truth. When it's blocked, you may struggle to speak up, feel unheard, or even experience throat-related health issues.
The good news? You can heal and activate your Visuddha Chakra with simple techniques. Meditation guide Mariya shares five easy steps to heal your throat chakra.

How to heal throat chakra
1. Speak kindly to yourself
Your words hold power, especially the ones you say to yourself. If you're constantly criticizing yourself, your throat chakra may be wounded. Start by practicing self-compassion; talk to yourself as you would to a dear friend or a child.
2. Practice responding - A blocked throat chakra often makes people afraid to speak their truth, fearing judgment or negative consequences. But your thoughts and feelings deserve an outlet. If saying things out loud feels too difficult, try journaling, recording a voice note, or even singing; anything that allows you to release your inner voice.
3. Do a past life regression - For some, fear of self-expression may have deep roots, possibly even from past experiences or past lives. Exploring past life regression (through guided meditation or therapy) can help uncover and heal old wounds related to speaking your truth.
4. Energetically heal your throat - In a calm, meditative state, bring your awareness to your throat and mouth. Notice how they feel tight, heavy, or restricted? Now, visualize a cork being removed from your throat, like a champagne bottle opening. As you do this, imagine a blue energetic river flowing freely from your throat, releasing all blockages.
5. Align with your North Star - Your North Star represents your true purpose and authenticity. Try a visualization exercise where you imagine the North Star connecting to your third eye (the space between your eyebrows) in a figure-eight pattern. As this light flows through you, feel any false beliefs or fears dissolve, allowing your true voice to emerge. You can also align your physical space with your North Star by arranging your room or workspace in a way that feels natural and supportive.
With these five simple steps, you can clear blockages and heal your throat chakra.
