Privacy, please
Stricken with a small backyard that lacks in privacy? Here's your solution: a stylish and practical privacy screen. This design is made from a UV, rust, and weather-resistant metal that'll hold up for years to come. Plus, its brown color will tastefully blend in with the surrounding environment.
It extends!
Hosting any backyard parties this summer? Make sure you have the right table to fit all of your guests. At its largest, this table can extend to fit 10 people. It's made from solid eucalyptus wood, which is highly durable for outdoor use.
Pop of pattern
The best way to transform your outdoor space into an outdoor living room is to add soft furnishings, like throw pillows. This outdoor pillow is plush, durable for outdoor use, and of course, it'll add some pattern to your patio.
Stylish underfoot
An outdoor rug is what gives a patio more of a room feeling − an extension of your indoor spaces. I always say a good outdoor rug should be one I would be happy to have in my home all year round, and this one from Loloi certainly ticks that box.
Vacation vibes
This stool reminds me of one from a hotel I stayed at in Ibiza. The vibe was very laid back and rustic, but luxurious and elegant too, lots of textures and bare pale wood. If I could recreate just a touch of that gorgeous vacation in my own backyard, I would be happy.
Keep cool
Up your alfresco drinking with an outdoor cooler on wheels. Not only does this look chic (and is available in more fun colors) it can keep your drinks cool all day. Consider this the perfect cart for an afternoon summer barbecue.
Retro scallops
Scallops are always on trend, and we love the timeless feel of this outdoor umbrella. Available in a few colorways, it can bring beautiful style and cool shade to your outdoor space all summer long, and it can even give your outdoor space a resort-like look.
Fan favorite
Kamado Joe is one of America's best-selling barbecue brands, and the Joe Jr. is their portable offering. There's still the cast-iron top vent and thick-walled heat-resistant shell of the bigger models, but this one is just easier to move around your backyard and better suited for smaller spaces. Ideal for camping, tailgates, and Fourth of July parties.
Premium Quality
If you're looking for premium seating that's going to give your patio a resort-like feel, rope-woven furniture should definitely be on your radar. It's a huge trend this summer, and this chair is a bargain example, made from acacia wood, it's beautiful and durable.
Add some stripes
Have you ever considered a garden bean bag? Not just for the kids, this plush patio chair is filled with beads that will conform to your body to keep you comfy and supported all day. Covered in striped fabric that is fade, mold, and UV resistant, and will last for summers to come.
Practical
Pick up something practical in the Wayfair Fourth of July outdoor sale. These LED pathway lights are solar-powered and turn on automatically when it gets dark to keep you safe when you're star-gazing. Available in bright white or warm white, as suits you.
Serve in style
This French bistro-style bar cart is such a versatile piece. Sure, you can use it for serving drinks al fresco (it has ample room for bottles, glasses, and snacks), but it also makes a great poolside side table. Plus, the savings are too good to miss.
Table for two
With 380 5-star reviews, this little 3-piece bistro set is perfect for small gardens, balcony gardens, or for creating a quiet, cozy spot for two away from the main seating space. I love its boho woven style, which is surprisingly durable for the cost, made from PE wicker and powder-coated steel.
Farmhouse ambiance
This sleek wall light is perfect for placing by a door at the front or back of the house. It adds a modern farmhouse-inspired edge and will gracefully illuminate your outdoor space.
Vintage style
Looking like something out of a grand historical home, these chic plants have been designed in a rustic French Provençal style to bring timeless style to your patio. I love the curved ironwork and neutral tone.
Lazy day lounger
There's nothing more luxurious than a chic lounger for your patio or poolside. I love the little striped lumbar cushion that comes with the chaise and the fact that it has 6-Gear adjustable backrest settings to meet your various sitting or lounging needs. Perfect for spending a summer afternoon in the sun.
Patio must-have
Treat your patio furniture as you would an armchair indoors, and ensure each has a side table to rest a drink, book, or a portable lamp for evenings spent outdoors. I love the wavy yet sleek design of this stone table – plus it's surprisingly lightweight to move around.
Classically coastal
With a huge 75% off, this classic Adirondack chair is super easy to maintain and comes with a 25-year warranty. Plus, I've never seen one with a handy in-built cup holder before. Finished in a navy blue color, I'd consider this the perfect chair to channel the New England summer aesthetic, wherever you live.
What is Wayfair's Fourth of July Sale?
Wayfair's Fourth of July sale happens every year around the end of June and into the beginning of July. This year, the sale runs from June 28th until July 7th.
The sale features 70% off clearance products, including interior decor and outdoor furnishings, such as rugs, outdoor chairs, pillows, and outdoor cooking necessities.
When are the best times to shop at Wayfair?
Wayfair is pretty good at spoiling us with plenty of major sales throughout the year. Spring Cyber Week happened in March, the Big Outdoor Sale event occurred in April, as did Way Day, and now the Fourth of July sale runs until July 7th.
With other furniture brands, the biggest sales of the year come in the fall, but with Wayfair, you'll find great offers all year round.
Is Wayfair a good place to buy outdoor furniture?
The short answer is: yes. Wayfair's product offering of outdoor furnishings and decor is huge, meaning there is usually something for everyone in all sizes, colors, and styles.
As for the long answer: it's important to be picky, pay attention to material descriptions, and read reviews. Since outdoor furniture will spend most of the year outside, it's important to make sure each product is made with the best and most durable materials – like teak or acacia wood, UV and weather-resistant fabrics, or rust-proof metal. Reviews can often times do a better job than a product description of informing you about a product you find, so make note of what previous purchasers have said.
Wayfair isn't always the easiest retailer to navigate, simply because of the thousands of outdoor products offered. However, at Homes & Gardens, we take time to scour the site in order to find the best pieces for your backyard.
Once you've refreshed your outdoor space, it's time to turn your attention to your interiors. I've spent hours shopping the Fourth of July Wayfair sale to bring you the deepest discounts on furniture, decor, and appliances from your favorite brands such as Martha Stewart and Magnolia Home, so be sure to check it out.
