New outdoor deck areas, refreshed entertainment and updated cabins are among the new features that passengers will find on the revamped Celebrity Solstice cruise ship.

The 18-year-old cruise ship has returned to the water in Singapore after a 46-day refurbishment, part of a wider $250 million (£187 million) revamp of the line’s five-strong Solstice class of vessel.

The remaining four ships in the class – Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette and Reflection – will undergo similar bow-to-stern refurbishments in the coming years.

After sailing through Asia and Australia, the renewed Celebrity Solstice will make its Alaska season debut this summer.

Additionally, beginning on 13 September 2026, Celebrity Solstice will embark on its “Grand Voyage”: a 110-night sailing across more than 55 ports spanning Alaska, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, concluding with a New Year's Eve arrival in Hong Kong.

Here is what passengers can expect on the revamped Celebrity Solstice cruise ship.

Cabin upgrades

All cabins on Celebrity Solstice have been renovated and 54 new staterooms have been added to create a total of 1,479 cabins.

Passengers can also stay in four new stateroom categories: the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, two Panoramic Ocean View Suite categories and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View.

Passengers staying in the Retreat suites will find a brand-new sundeck with a hot tub, dedicated outdoor seating and a redesigned private lounge.

AquaClass cabins have also been refreshed with massaging shower heads, aromatherapy diffusers, in-room yoga mats, premium robes and slippers and a pillow menu. AquaClass passengers also receive complimentary access to the updated exclusive restaurant, Blu, and the spa’s Persian Garden.

The changes increase the ship’s capacity to 2,958 based on double occupancy.

Sunset Park

Passengers can enjoy a new top deck outdoor area called Sunset Park.

The open-air social space offers activities such as yoga, lawn games and live music, all with sweeping ocean views.

There will also be new private cabanas for those seeking some shade.

The deck features a new Sunset Park Cafe offering casual dining for breakfast and lunch.

New dining

Two new restaurants have been introduced to the ship.

This includes Trattoria Rossa, an Italian restaurant serving seafood, classic meat dishes and pasta, as well as “tableside” preparations such as chicken parmesan and caesar salad.

The cruise line's Fine Cut Steakhouse, popular in the Edge series of ships, is also now on board and offers 30-day dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood.

Bars and lounges

Celebrity Solstice is introducing two new entertainment venues: a 125-seat Boulevard Lounge for piano bar singalongs, karaoke and game shows as well as a Boulevard Bar for cocktails.

Guests can play billiards, darts and nostalgic board games in the ship’s new sports and gaming lounge, The Parlor.

The venue will also be showing sports on its big screen.

Theatre shows

Two new production shows are making their Celebrity Solstice debut in the onboard theatre

“Smoke and Ivories” celebrates the sound of the 1950s with piano entertainment, high-flying acrobatics and world class vocals.

Passengers can also watch Rockumentary, a live concert experience recreating landmark rock performances across the decades.

Other entertainment throughout the ship includes a candlelit concert featuring live, string renditions of rock performances.

Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, said: “Celebrity Solstice launched our Solstice Series ships and defined a generation of Celebrity Cruises travel.

“This reimagination honours that heritage while setting a new standard for what an elevated vacation can be.

“Every new experience was designed around how our guests want to spend their time, backed by the unmatched hospitality that defines every Celebrity Cruises sailing.”
