MANILA, Philippines — Former Ilocos Sur governor Luis "Chavit" Singson has denied allegations that Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa used his yacht to flee following the shooting incident at the Senate on May 13.
Singson dismissed reports alleging that his yacht, identified online as “Happy Life,” was used to transport dela Rosa from Manila to Batangas, where the senator supposedly boarded a helicopter bound for Mindanao.
The former governor said the allegations were baseless and could easily be disproven through records and monitoring procedures maintained by yacht clubs and port authorities.
He also denied any participation in dela Rosa’s “escape” from the Senate.
