MANILA, Philippines — SB19 is set to break new ground this year as the first P-pop act to join the lineup of Lollapalooza, one of the world’s premier music festivals.
The “Kings of P-pop" announced the milestone through social media, writing, “Surprise A’TIN! We’re so thrilled to announce that we’ll be performing on the Lollapalooza stage this 2026! Can’t wait to see you, Chicago.”
Live Nation Philippines also confirmed the appearance, calling it “a proud moment for Filipino music” and expressing support for the group’s international breakthrough.
The annual festival will take place from July 30 to Aug. 2, at Grant Park in Chicago, United States. Known for its wide-ranging lineup, Lollapalooza draws global audiences with performances spanning alternative rock, hip-hop, pop, and electronic music.
This year’s headliners include Charli XCX, Lorde, Tate McRae, Olivia Dean, JENNIE of BLACKPINK, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The XX. Other artists on the lineup include aespa, The Chainsmokers, Zara Larsson, Yoasobi, Lil Uzi Vert, Turnstile, Wet Leg, and Filipina-British singer-songwriter Beabadoobee.
SB19’s inclusion marks a significant step for P-pop as the genre gains traction worldwide.
Composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, SB19 has built a strong international following with hits such as “Gento,” “Mapa,” “Go Up,” “Dam,” “Dungka!” and “Visa.” The group is widely credited with helping bring Filipino pop music into the global spotlight.
Ahead of their Lollapalooza debut, SB19 is scheduled to hold the “Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale” on April 18, 2026, at the SMDC Festival Grounds. The concert will cap their EP trilogy and follows their 2025 “Simula at Wakas” world tour.
