TNT’s Bol Manute Bol as expected, is leading the way for the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup Best Import award.

The six-year NBA veteran, easily the biggest crowd drawer for the conference due to his size and being the son of the late Manute Bol, amassed 59.4 statistical points at the end of the elimination round.

The 7-foot-3 Bol showcased his immense talent after leading the tournament in scoring with a high of 38.2 points per game average, while also using his height en route to a league-best 4.3 blocks per game.

The Miami Heat’s second round draft choice, also averaged 14.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists, who is trying to lead TNT to a second straight Commissioner’s Cup crown.

Bol led TNT to a pulsating 96-93 win against top seed NLEX on Wednesday to force a winner-take-all duel in their quarterfinals match.

The Tropang 5G, hopefully, could duplicate their feat come Saturday when they face off with the Road Warriors anew at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City. The winner of this game will advance to the semis.

Meanwhile, a distant second in the Best Import statistical race is San Miguel Beer’s Bennie Boatwright.

The 6-foot-10 Boatwright, a Gilas Pilipinas naturalized candidate, has 53.4 SPs.

Boatwright is back for a second tour of duty with SMB, where he averages 32.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. He is best remembered for leading the Beermen to the championship in this same conference in Season 48.

At third in the Best Import derby is NLEX reinforcement Cady Lalanne of NLEX with 50.6.

Three-time Best Import winner Justin Brownlee of Ginebra is running fourth with 50.3 and Rain or Shine’s Jaylen Johnson is fifth with 47.8 SPs. RICHARD DY
