Bea Binene and Wilbert Ross are reuniting on screen in the upcoming romantic comedy series “Love U Lots,” an eight-episode Viva One original that premieres on July 24.
The series marks the pair’s first project together since the success of “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow,” one of Viva One’s University Series adaptations. They once again work with director Victor Villanueva, who also helmed their previous collaboration.
In “Love U Lots,” Binene portrays Ysa, a gifted painter living with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), who finds comfort in her art while trying to reconcile the different parts of her identity. Ross stars as Estong, a kind-hearted young man whose life unravels after a painful breakup and a financial scam wipes out his savings.
The story begins when one of Ysa’s valuable paintings disappears, prompting Estong to help recover it. As he becomes part of Ysa’s world, he learns about her condition and develops a deeper understanding of her different personalities. Their search gradually evolves into a journey of trust, acceptance and love.
The relationship, however, faces challenges as Estong contends with a romantic rival while trying to rebuild his own life. At the same time, Ysa is forced to confront unresolved issues from her past, testing whether their growing bond can overcome the obstacles before them.
The cast also includes Xia Vigor as Adel, Ysa’s fiercely protective guardian, and Vito Quizon as Jayden, Estong’s younger brother. Their playful rivalry develops into a budding romance that adds another layer to the series.
Joining them are Katya Santos as Ninang Barbs, DJ Durano as Ninong Kent, Janno Gibbs as Estong’s optimistic father Popsy Bert, Migo Valid as Lorenz, the man who complicates the lead couple’s relationship, and Candy Pangilinan in a special appearance as psychiatrist Dra. Wanda Tan.
The first teaser for “Love U Lots” was unveiled during “The Next Fan Takeover: The Repeat” fan event at New Frontier Theater in June, drawing enthusiastic reactions from fans eager to see the “WilBea” tandem together again. The preview showcased Ysa’s shifting personalities, offering audiences an early glimpse of the emotional and comedic moments that define the series.
Beyond the upcoming series, Binene and Ross are also set to reunite on the big screen in an adaptation of the Thai horror-comedy hit “Pee Mak.” IGI
