Not anymore.
For the first time, the Thunderbelles reach the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) finals after scoring a 25-22, 28-26, 25-22 victory against the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the knockout semifinals of the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Thursday night at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
American import Anna DeBeer scored 30 points on 29 attacks and an ace to fend off the High Speed Hitters, who were aiming for their third straight PVL championship.
Chine Arroyo chipped in 14 points while Alexis Miner added eight markers.
“Everybody contributed, especially Anna. Our locals also stepped up. We’re very happy, but it’s still not over,” ZUS head coach Jerry Yee said.
Anastasiia Bavykina led the scoring for PLDT with 16 points while Savi Davison contributed 15 points.
The Thunderbelles will face the Petro Gazz Angels in the finals beginning Sunday, 5 p.m., at the same venue.
