A dog's reaction to seeing his vet outside of the clinic has melted hearts online.

When 2-year-old golden retriever Cosmo unexpectedly ran into his vet, Dr. Jones, at a bar in Charleston, South Carolina, his reaction was adorable.

Cosmo instantly ran to his beloved vet, leaping up to him for snuggles. The moment was caught in a video that has now gained over 520,000 views on TikTok.

"Cosmo actually loves seeing all his friends at the vet, so I expected him to greet him happily, but did not expect the 'jump in your lap' happy and snuggles," Cosmo's owner Hannah Dweikat told Newsweek.

The wholesome moment resonated with pet lovers everywhere, sparking a wave of humorous and heartwarming comments. One viewer joked: "Your dog's trying to buy him a drink."

Other dog owners chimed in with their own experiences—particularly those who know their dogs would have a very different reaction. One user wrote: "Our vet is one of my husband's best friends, and when he comes over, one of my standard poodles hides. She's like nope nope nope not today."

Another commented: "My dog knows the vet tech by name but hates him, so we're not allowed to use the J name in our house."

Some even theorized that the moment may have made Dr. Jones' day. Like sierraaa0188 who said: "Awww I can't help but think he had a hard day at work and went to the bar after and then was greeted by your pup who loves him sm." While another agreed: "I just know this made his vet's day!! Imagine having the worst day ever and then a doggo comes up to YOU at the bar."

Dweikat started Cosmo's social media pages for fun, never expecting such a massive response. "I am shocked by the response from the video. It was probably a video I've put the least effort into," she said. "I recorded the video and just added a song I thought went well with it, and bam! Now he has over 500k views. It's really fun to watch everyone love our video, and we thank them for the support. We hope we can continue to make videos that shed a little light and fun in this crazy world we live in."
