A pit bull named Annabelle has TikTok in stitches after a video showed her repeatedly pawing at her dad’s face until he gives in to her favorite form of affection—playfully nibbling her like, “corn on the cob.”

The clip, posted by annabelle_and_norman and viewed on eight million occasions within 10 days, captures the determined dog climbing onto the couch and persistently swatting at the man’s cheek as he tries to ignore her.

According to the on-screen caption, “At least once a day, our dog annoys my husband until he gives in and corn-cobs her.”

The “corn cobbing” in question involves the dad gently nibbling along Annabelle’s side and neck, a gesture that finally satisfies the attention-seeking pup.

In the video, Annabelle refuses to back down, repeatedly tapping his face with her paw and leaning in closer until he starts the playful routine. Only then does she settle, tail wagging, as he “cobs” her with exaggerated affection.

The post drew almost 2,500 reactions, with many TikTok viewers saying the behavior is typical for the breed.

Several joked about pit bullsreputation for demanding love.

One summed up: “bullys are bullying.”

Another added, “They’re called bully breeds because they bully you for love and attention.”

A fellow commenter suggested the dad was partly to blame, writing, “He could have prevented all that by just meeting her demands initially!”

Personality Traits

While the interaction is humorous, experts say the clingy behavior seen in the video aligns with common pit bull personality traits.

According to Pittiechoy, a pit bull-focused training and lifestyle site, “Pit bulls, often misunderstood and misrepresented, exhibit clinginess as a sign of their deep-rooted loyalty and desire for companionship.”

The site notes that the breed’s tendency to stick close to owners has earned them a nickname.

“A Velcro dog is one that prefers to be by their owner’s side as much as possible,” Pittiechoy explains, describing behaviors such as following owners around the house and seeking constant physical closeness.

Rover.com echoes that assessment in a profile of pit bull temperament, stating: “Pit bulls are fun, affectionate dogs with a long, impressive history. They’re intelligent, active, funny and all-around adorable.”

The resource adds that the breed is frequently misrepresented despite being known for its affectionate nature.

A Daily Ritual

In Annabelle’s case, her persistence appears less about mischief and more about connection. The repeated paw taps function almost like a reminder: pay attention to me. Once her dad complies with the corn-cob routine, the tension dissolves instantly.

The exchange also highlights how dogs often develop specific rituals with their owners. For some, it’s a favorite toy or game of fetch. For Annabelle, it’s a daily “bullying” session that ends in laughter.
