Minnesota Timberwolves superstar guard Anthony Edwards isn’t afraid of anybody, and he will tell that to anyone who is guarding him on the court.

In his new Adidas commercial promoting his latest shoes, Edwards took shots at multiple other top players around the league.

Starring a retro video game arcade backdrop, Edwards plays against virtual reality versions of some of the NBA‘s best.

“Man, I’m my only competition,” Edwards laughs before scrolling through his potential rivals.

A green, long-limbed alien-like creature, supposed to parody San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama, appeared before Edwards makes a shot and tells him to hit the “weight room.”

After that, a parody of multi-time MVP Nikola Jokić appears on a horse, showcasing his love for his animals back home in Serbia.

Then, a stand-in for reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander spawns in with his own referee beside him. The scene is making fun of the Oklahoma City Thunder ace for repeatedly trying to draw fouls during a game.

Finally, after defeating all his supposed adversaries, Edwards points to a parody version of the Los Angeles Lakers‘ Luka Doncic.

The animated Doncic is out of shape and breathing heavily as he tries to defend Edwards, who scores easily over him.

Doncic was traded by the Mavericks last season from his longtime home in Dallas following a saga in which general manager Nico Harrison was upset with the Slovenian star’s diet and weight control.

After trading Doncic to L.A., Harrison continued the disparaging words about his former star. Following a poor start to the season, as a fitter, healthier Doncic led the Lakers to a strong start, Harrison was fired from his position.

Edwards and Doncic have gone back and forth during their young careers in the NBA. Although Doncic got the best of Edwards on the Mavericks, the Timberwolves’ focal point has current bragging rights following his first-round win over the Lakers last season.

Doncic will get to meet Edwards face to face next month when the Timberwolves travel to Southern California to play the Lakers.
