A dog owner has melted hearts across the internet after revealing the specific command their blind husky has mastered, and why it gives her the freedom she longs for.

A video of Dani the blind husky was shared on the canine’s dedicated TikTok account (@blind.husky) showing the sweet pup gladly enjoying a moment of fun. The video shows Dani running through the grass gleefully, all the while attached to an extended leash.

Indeed, the caption layered over the clip explains that Dani’s owner taught her the command “circle,” which enables the husky to “run free” whenever she hears it. Being blind may limit Dani in other ways, but, as soon as she hears the “circle” command, she is able to unlock sprint mode. It is such a delight for her owner to see every time, as the TikTok caption added, “her confidence blows my mind.”

Internet users can’t get enough of Dani’s sheer joy as she got to run around in large circles. In just a matter of days, the video has gone viral with over 3.5 million views and more than 607,000 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.

Newsweek has contacted @blind.husky via TikTok for comment. We could not verify the details of the video.

Dani was born without eyes in 2018 and is now living her best life in Illinois. This command was a long time in the making, as the owner noted that this “trust didn’t happen overnight.” The duo has spent eight years together, building their bond gradually. Now, Dani clearly trusts her owner to be her eyes.

Guidance from the American Kennel Club (AKC) says that owners of blind dogs can help their pets gain confidence and independence by focusing on routine, safety and sensory‑based training. The AKC recommends keeping furniture in consistent locations so blind dogs can map their environment, guiding them slowly through new spaces to identify obstacles, and blocking off hazards such as staircases or pools.

Maintaining predictable household patterns helps blind dogs build trust and navigate more freely, while verbal cues become particularly important, as these canines rely heavily on sound to understand direction and reassurance. Similarly, veterinarian‑reviewed training advice explains that blind dogs benefit from clear, consistent voice commands, tactile cues, and environmental markers.

Dani’s owner regularly shares videos of the husky thriving in her forever home, whether that is lounging on the couch, getting the zoomies, or enjoying walks together.

In the days since the video went viral, thousands of internet users have taken to the comments to praise Dani’s bravery and trust in her owner. This has led to more than 4,400 comments on the TikTok post so far.

One comment reads: “Running in circles just got a whole new meaning.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “Do you think she pictures beautiful fields in her mind as she runs?”

A third person replied: “I just realized you are the Service Human and that made me cry.”

One commenter joked: “My mom makes my zoomies safe for me.”
