A pregnant woman who brought her mini bernedoodle to the dog park began to panic when she couldn’t spot him, but hysterics took over when she finally looked down at her feet.

In a November 13 Instagram video posted to the account @kygo_the_minibernedoodle, the owner began filming the dog park as she looked for Kygo, her mini bernedoodle. Panic set in when she couldn’t immediately spot him. Dog parks are giant playgrounds for canines to run, meet others and sniff until their hearts’ content, making it easy for owners to lose track of them for a moment.

But when she panned the camera down, relief flushed over her body. At first, her belly fills the frame, but when she bends forward past her baby bump, Kygo appears. He was hiding between her feet. The moment she noticed him, Kygo perked up, bouncing with excitement and ready for another round of play. It was his way of saying he wanted her to throw the ball again.

“I didn’t really lose him,” she told Newsweek via Instagram. “It was more satire on how many times at the park I couldn’t find him for a second, but he turned out to be right next to me.”

Owners looking away for just a second can lose sight of the furry companions amid the chaos of a dog park. And even though the areas are fenced, it’s hard not to worry when your dog momentarily disappears from view.

Luckily, for this dog owner, Kygo is rarely far. She said he’s typically sniffing things around the park or chasing his ball.

Hearts instantly melted at the sight of Kygo sticking by his owner, and as of Thursday, the Instagram clip had reached more than 80,200 views, 8,400 likes and 13 comments.

“Being a true protector of its little best friend,” someone wrote about Kygo’s future sibling.

Knowing the dog park all too well, another added: “They always show up at random times and in the weirdest spots.”

A third person said: “Omg, happens to the best of us.”

Dog Park Benefits

Many dog owners turn to dog parks in their communities to give their canines exercise and mental stimulation. Their pups can run around freely and off-leash, which is an especially excellent option for those without yards. Plus, exercise isn’t the only benefit dogs get while at the park.

An article from Dogster said that dog parks can help canines socialize with other pups and people, as they teach them good manners, relieve stress and reduce anxiety. They can release pent-up energy. Plus, owners have a chance to build a deeper bond with their pet.

As for the owners, these parks can help build a sense of community. It also is a way for people to meet and socialize.
