The internet's heart immediately melted after a security camera captured the moment a determined dog visited his canine bestie's house to ask for a playdate.

Like children, dogs easily make friends. They bond over their love of playing. And once they make a friend, there is no stopping them from constantly wanting to hang out, which is what happened between an owner's golden retriever, Riley, and her neighbor's dog, Buster.

The two dogs first met each other through the window. The owner told Newsweek via TikTok that Buster always gets out of his yard and runs to the park across the street. He spotted Riley sitting in her favorite window spot overlooking the park, and from that moment on, they've always been drawn to each other.

Buster escapes from his yard and runs to Riley's house to see his best friend. But as their friendship grew, talking through the window wasn't enough.

"They 'talk to each other,'" the owner said. "Now he just runs to the door like, 'Can she come out to play?' It's so funny!"

The owner shared in an April 26 TikTok video under the account @goldenrileygirl the moment Buster "casually" showed up at the front door to ask for Riley. He patiently waited at the gate with his tail wagging and hopeful eyes that the owner would let Riley play. And thankfully, his wish came true.

The owner opened the door to let Riley out. Both dogs lit up when they were given the green light. Buster put his front paws on the gate, trying to get as close to his best friend as possible once the door opened. Riley barked a hello to her friend.

"You can see how excited they get," the owner said.

Knowing this playdate would tire them out, the owner also brought a water bowl outside with her. But that was the least of the dogs' worries. They put all their focus on seeing each other.

People instantly fell in love with the besties, and they flooded the TikTok video with heart emojis and tears as they couldn't get over the dogs' relationship. They called it a "Pawty at Riley's house."

"This is sooo adorable. How can anyone keep them [from] playing," asked a viewer.

Someone demanded: "Mom, u better let them play."

Another added: "Awe how cute, they're so excited."
