Puppy Attends Office With Owner, Can’t Cope With Where She Finds Play Pen

A spaniel puppy has left the internet in hysterics with the novel way he chooses to use the play pen his owner bought for the office, and it certainly wasn’t what she had in mind.

TikTok user @catherinehetheri shared a hilarious clip on TikTok showing how her cocker spaniel puppy, named Zorro, decided to make use of his plan pen. Rather than taking some time to rest in his own little space, the video shows Zorro rolling the play pen along the hallway of his owner’s office.

Zorro’s owner, from the U.K., told Newsweek that she often takes her pup into the office when she’s working and he loves being social. However, on this occasion, she couldn’t believe her eyes when she looked up from her desk and saw the spaniel looking “like a hamster in a wheel” as he rolled around the corridors.

“Luckily I have my own office, so he comes into work with me in an afternoon,” @catherinehetheri said. “Once he’s done playing and saying hello to everyone, he’s normally tired and I pop him into his play pen for some enforced naps.”

Unfortunately, naptime certainly didn’t go to plan on this occasion. Zorro usually gets to wander around and have freedom to roam the office when it’s not time for his beauty sleep.

As a working cocker spaniel, it’s no surprise that Zorro has endless amounts of energy. The website PetMD explains that the breed has a very active temperament, and they typically enjoy playing with toys, playing fetch, or going on walks multiple times a day.

The owner couldn’t resist capturing a video of her puppy’s antics and sharing it online. The TikTok video has gone viral with over 511,500 views and more than 47,900 likes at the time of writing, also amassed over 311,000 views on the dog’s dedicated Instagram account, @zorro.cocker.

The caption alongside the clip jokes that Zorro “thinks he’s in one of those Zorb balls” instead of a place to nap.

Since the video was shared online on January 22, it has already generated over 170 comments on TikTok. Internet users have lauded the puppy’s unique approach to naptime, while others defended the adorable mischief he was causing in the workplace.

One comment reads: “He’s just networking.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “Imagine sitting at your desk trying to work, and this just rolls by.”

Another person replied: “And that’s how the office productivity plummeted.”

While one commenter joked: “Does your hamster know he’s a dog?”
