What started as a simple act of kindness took a truly unexpected turn—leaving one man stunned by what he discovered waiting for him every morning.

The popular TikTok clip, shared by user @shann_brown, has amassed 4 million views. Layered text over the July 3 video reads: "My dad feeds the ducks at his work and now they know his car," a line that alone has racked up almost 900,000 likes.

The heartwarming footage shows more than a dozen ducks making their determined way across the car park directly toward the man's vehicle.

From behind the camera, you can hear him calling them on, encouraging their waddling approach. The clip is captioned: "Catch him with a 25lb bag of duck food in his truck."

TikTok users couldn't get enough of the sight. "THE FOOD TRUCK HERE YALL COME ON !!!" read one top comment, which received over 115,000 likes.

Another viewer summed it up simply: "What a wonderful thing to experience."

"Connecting with nature is the best feeling in my opinion. I can hear the joy and love in your dad's voice. Those are lucky ducks," posted a third commenter.

"I think that's their dad now," added a fourth user.

How To Feed Ducks and Geese Responsibly

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), the largest animal welfare charity in the U.K., says that ducks and geese require feed that is appropriate for their species, age, and breed. While ducks often forage in and around water, geese are natural grazers and need access to plenty of fresh grass.

It is also important to provide constant access to clean, fresh water. Water facilities for ducks should be designed so that young birds can climb out easily to prevent drowning. During winter months, ice should be removed without using chemicals, which can harm the birds.

If you decide to keep ducks yourself, it is essential to follow good hygiene practices and provide proper care to ensure their health and well-being.

Good hygiene is essential, says the RSCPA. Food dispensers and drinkers should be cleaned regularly. If switching to new drinkers or feeders, it is best to offer the familiar type alongside them until the flock adjusts.

When introducing new ducks or geese to an existing group, caregivers should proceed with care to avoid conflict—keeping at least three that get along well, and avoiding mixing birds of very different sizes, which can lead to bullying.
