In a viral video, a dog owner revealed what her Australian shepherd does every time they come home from their walks, and internet users can’t cope with it.
The heartwarming Instagram clip, shared in January by @grimtheozzy, shows the fluffy pup sitting down on a rug by the door, offering his mom his paws one by one so she can wipe them clean before going inside the house.
“I’ll never get over how politely my pup offers his paws so I can clean them after our walks,” the caption says. “He likes to make sure they’re extra clean.”

Cleaning your dog’s paws after a walk outdoor is essential to keep them clean and help prevent irritation or infection. But what products are best to use?
Dial a Vet explains that harsh chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide are not a safe choice for cleaning a dog’s paws. Although it is sometimes used as a disinfectant, it can be too harsh for a pup’s sensitive skin, leading to dryness, irritation, or discomfort.
Instead, it is better to use gentler, pet-safe options. Paw wipes made specifically for dogs or a mild wash with warm water and dog-friendly shampoo are safer and more-effective alternatives.
After cleaning, carefully dry the paws and check for any cuts, redness, or signs of irritation. If irritation continues or worsens, a veterinarian should be consulted.
Household cleaning products should generally be avoided, as many contain chemicals that may be harmful to pets.
To help prevent excessive dirt buildup during walks, consider using protective dog boots in muddy areas and trimming excess hair around the paws to reduce debris accumulation and keep paws cleaner overall.
The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 117,000 views and more than 11,100 likes on the platform.
