In the days leading up to Sunday’s Super Bowl LX matchup between the Seahawks and Patriots, it was widely reported that Seattle offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak would take over as the Las Vegas Raiders’ new head coach before the 2026 NFL season.

Just moments after the Seahawks notched a dominant 29-13 win over the Patriots at Levi’s Stadium, Kubiak officially announced his decision to accept the Raiders job.

Kubiak confirmed the news on camera during a postgame interview with Stacey Dales of NFL Network.

“You guys know I’m going to Las Vegas. I’m fired up about it,” Kubiak said. ” … Hell yeah I’m going [to Las Vegas].”

Kubiak conducted virtual interviews with six NFL teams during the Seahawks’ first-round bye. He then had in-person interviews with the Raiders and Arizona Cardinals last Saturday.

Kubiak attempted to keep all of his focus on Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup, deflecting questions regarding his future throughout the week.

“I can just tell you I’m all-in on the Seahawks, I’m all-in on this game,” Kubiak said. “And whatever comes next, we’ll deal with that on Monday.”

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald all but confirmed Kubiak’s decision to leave for Las Vegas when speaking with reporters earlier this week.

“Our coaches, as they get these opportunities to take it to the next level, you’re happy for them,” Macdonald said. “It’s a little bittersweet because [Kubiak is] such a a great person and great coach.

“We have a lot of great coaches and those people are going to have opportunities as well.”
