Denver Broncos star J.K. Dobbins was the subject of a hip-drop tackle in the team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Following the illegal tackle, the referees did not call it, leading to Dobbins taking to social media to vent his frustrations when his injury was revealed.
Dobbins’ foot was trapped under the Raiders defender following the tackle, which led to a foot injury.

Now, it appears Dobbins’ injury, which was caused by the illegal tackle, has led to an unfortunate update.
Per Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, Dobbins is being considered as an IR candidate, which would knock him out for at least four games. This is terrible timing are in a huge win streak, and one that might come to a halt without him in the lineup.
Denver has seven wins in a row, but the last two led to analysts and fans being wary of the Broncos‘ ability to sustain their 8-2 record. A 10-7 win over the Raiders and an 18-15 win over the Houston Texans have presented many worries.

Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has seemingly regressed in recent weeks, throwing 323 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in the last two outings. This regression leaves the running game being even more important. However, that unit will take a huge hit if Dobbins is placed on IR.
Dobbins has been a huge lift to the Broncos’ offense, picking up 772 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, while adding 37 yards through the air.
Dobbins has kept the Broncos in games with his tough running, and his foot injury is coming at a time when Denver is set to face some tough competition.
After a Week 11 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos get a well-deserved bye, which is followed by Week 13 against the Washington Commanders, Week 14 against the Raiders, and Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers.
Bye weeks do not count towards IR, so if Dobbins is placed on the list, he would not be eligible to return until Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This is a huge hit for Denver, and the hope for the team would be that Dobbins can recover in a way that prevents him from being placed on IR.
