The Golden State Warriors could have their superstar guard, Stephen Curry, back on the court for their matchup on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Curry told Nic Friedell of The Athletic that he is feeling great and that there is a chance he could return to the court after a five-game absence.
“I’m feeling great,” Curry said.
“I’m pretty optimistic (about tomorrow).”

Curry was cleared from the injury report on Thursday after dealing with a quadriceps injury.
The stage is set for the two-time NBA MVP to return to the court against the Timberwolves. Head coach Steve Kerr said that Curry was on track to return following Thursday’s practice.
In the meantime, the Warriors have done well enough to keep their head above water, as they sit with a 3-2 record in Curry’s absence. Prior to their Friday matchup, the Warriors sit at 13-12, good for the No. 8 seed in the loaded Western Conference.
The 37-year-old hasn’t played since Nov. 26 with a left quadriceps contusion. Curry was a full participant in all contact portions of the workout and took part in a six-minute scrimmage without any issue.
