In a viral TikTok video, a dog owner returns to her hotel room with her boyfriend—what they found their pup doing has internet viewers in stitches.

The hilarious clip, shared on Monday under the username @caragamblee, shows the pup sleeping on the bed with his belly up and his paws stretched out, all while resting his head on the pillow.

As soon as he realizes his owners are back, the dog immediately greets them with a big stretch and non-stop tail wiggles, but he still doesn’t get off the bed, where he will probably be dozing off again soon.

“When you’re just a dog enjoying your stay at Cesar’s palace,” the caption says, “He’s perfect.”

More and more dog owners are opting to take their pups with them on holidays, and, if planned well, our pets can have a great time too.

When staying at a hotel with your canine, preparation is key. First, always confirm the hotel’s pet policy directly, as third-party booking sites may have outdated info. Always ask about nightly pet fees, which can vary widely, and read all pet-related rules.

Many hotels limit pets per room, and they may also ban them from furniture and amenity areas, or require them to be leashed/crated when unattended.

Before leaving the house, make sure you take all of your dog’s essentials with you, such as food, bowls, bed, toys, and familiar items to ease the transition.

In the hotel, use the “do not disturb” sign to prevent housekeeping surprises and reduce noise that may trigger barking. It is important that you stay in with your canine the first night to help them adjust, and leave the TV on to mask unfamiliar sounds.

If your dog is anxious or destructive, avoid leaving them alone at all, and consider hiring local dog-sitting services if needed.

The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 2.2 million views and more than 516,000 likes on the platform.

One user, Valeriec97_, commented: “Immediately went ‘oh you’re back! Did you bring any snakz?”

Jessica posted: “He was so relaxed he didn’t even hear the door open lol [laugh out loud].”

Whitneychristian333 added: “He is tired from jumping bed to bed after y’all left.”
