A cat repeatedly playing up while his owner was out has gone viral after one of his antics was caught on camera.
Meagan, who posts to TikTok under the username @bohofarmerchic, regularly shares clips of life on a farm with her family and myriad animals, which includes dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats.
"We have three cats, two of them are orange brothers: Sherlock and Selleck," Meagan told Newsweek. "They provide us with endless entertainment!"
"I usually post videos of life on a multi-generational Midwest family farm with three kids and lots of animals," she said — and in December, while Meagan was out, her eldest child Corbin sent her a video of what Selleck was getting up to without her.
In a clip posted on December 12 and which has close to 120,000 likes, Corbin records Selleck, who is sitting on a table next to an overturned pitcher of water, items thrown haphazardly across the table and on the nearby floor.
Corbin then tells Meagan: "Your cat just stuck his head inside of that pitcher and pushed all of that off the table."
As Corbin speaks, Selleck clearly decides to give a play-by-play of the incident to illustrate what happened, as he once again sticks his head in the pitcher of water.
And this time, he goes flying off the side of the table with a backflip and lands, head first and still in the pitcher, on the ground, as Corbin bursts out laughing.
"Corbin sent me this video yesterday of Selleck," Meagan wrote in a caption alongside a series of laughing emojis.
And she explained to Newsweek: "My oldest captured this funny moment where the cat repeatedly knocked a stack of papers off the coffee table by jumping into the water pitcher that I use to water my plants."
And TikTok users loved it, one describing it as "orange cat energy", and another declaring "he craves the tunnels."
"Allow me to demonstrate," another joked, as one said Selleck "knows his owner is a visual learner," and one summed it up: "Lemme show em actually."
One user was concerned Selleck "needs more stuff to do" and suggested buying a tunnel cat toy, but Meagan assured the commenter: "Don't worry, he's got 230 acres of farm ground. He does plenty of things inside and out. He has toys and towers and scratchers and brothers and sisters."
And as another commenter added, cats "just like doing things to things they know aren't toys."
Cat owners often add toys to the house to give their pet enrichment, as a bored cat can often turn destructive, such as scratching furniture or acting aggressive, according to Purina.
Toys such as feather wands or cat-safe laser pointers can helps the cat play out their hunting instincts, while forts and tunnels gives them a new area to explore.
