A dog in California has gone viral after TikTok users were captivated by his striking looks and unusual breed mix. Indy, an 11‑year‑old “pitskie,” has become a star on the platform.
Indy’s owner, JJ Lee from the Antelope Valley in California, explained that he discovered the pup completely by accident. “I actually found him when I was randomly searching on Craigslist for car parts and I saw an ad on Craigslist for ‘pitskie puppies,’” he told Newsweek. Curious, he clicked—and was immediately hooked.
“I saw the world’s cutest puppies on there. So I couldn’t resist and ended up going over and getting him,” he said.
Indy is half blue-nose pit bull and half Alaskan husky, with the pit bull as his mother and the husky as his father. The combination has turned him into something of a showstopper.
“He gets so much attention everywhere we go,” Lee said. “People always ask me what mix he is and they always reply with a smile and say, ‘That’s exactly how I imagine they’d come out.’”
On TikTok, the video of Indy has more than 21 million views and thousands of comments from amazed viewers.
Many shared their own pictures of pit bull and husky mix dogs, while some shared their surprise at the unusual mix.
“OMG, a pit bull-husky mix. It’s so pretty. I love the eyes,” said one viewer.
Another TikToker wrote: “Omg, the husky attitude combined with pit bull clinginess must be an entertaining combo.”
Lee said he decided to share their outings on TikTok after realizing how much joy Indy brought strangers in real life. The pair often cruise around in Lee’s classic 1969 Volkswagen Beetle, a setup TikTok viewers have quickly fallen in love with.
“I was inspired to put him and I on TikTok because I thought people genuinely enjoy seeing him and I cruising around in my classic 1969 Volkswagen Beetle. The adventure of Indy and JJ,” he said.
The reaction was far bigger than he expected.
“I’m a little overwhelmed by the reaction on TikTok because of how many views I got over a couple days,” Lee said.
Indy joins a growing list of mixed‑breed dogs capturing attention online for their distinctive look—but his blend of husky features and pit bull build appears to have struck a particular chord with viewers.
