The internet is obsessed with a dog who couldn’t contain his excitement at hearing a song on the radio—with a very apt title.
Noodle the yellow Labrador retriever is known for his dance moves, moving and wriggling whenever he gets excited—which often happens when he’s traveling in the car.
His owner, Nicole, affectionately refers to these bursts of excitement as “Carpaw Karaoke,” a clever twist on the iconic Carpool Karaoke—and now Noodle has gone massively viral at his reaction to Noah Kahan’s hit song “Stick Season” while on a car trip.
In a video seen more than 2 million times, Nicole drives as the song blares on the radio. And Noodle, standing in the back, suddenly jumps up, bouncing up and down in almost perfect tempo with the music, with a giant smile on his face.
Nicole captioned the video: “Noodle approved.”
And TikTok users loved it, awarding the clip close to half a million likes, as commenters flocked to share their thoughts—including one who joked: “A whole season of STICKS!”
“He’s like ‘IT’S WHAT SEASON?'” another laughed, with another agreeing: “My guy heard the word stick and couldn’t contain himself.”
A Kahan fan admitted: “This is also how I listen to Noah Kahan,” while one predicted: “Noah’s gonna have a fit when he sees this.”
And they were right, as musician Kahan saw the video, and it’s safe to say he enjoyed it, as he commented: “I love Noodle I need Noodle.”
In an earlier video of Noodle dancing, Nicole explained to a commenter that the pup has “been dancing like this since he was a puppy.
“In the car, at home, at the vet, at friends’ houses, outside. It’s just a thing that he does when he’s excited!”
She added, to any viewers concerned Noodle was actually showing stress rather than excitement, that “if I thought he was stressed I wouldn’t put him in the car unless it was necessary,” but in this instance, he was “excited [because] he knew we were on the way somewhere fun.”
