In a viral TikTok video, a dog owner revealed her Maltese’s unusual nighttime routine, and internet users can’t cope with it.

The heartwarming video shared on Wednesday under the username @tofulover.com, shows the tiny white pup, Tofu, hopping on a green ottoman cover as his dad carries him from the living room all the way to the bedroom for bed.

“POV [point of view]: you started taking your dog up to bed on a random green ottoman cover and now it’s part of his nightly routine,” reads layover text in the clip.

“Tofu’s favorite mode of transport: ottoman cover, what object should we start taking him up on next,” the caption says.

With an increasing amount of people choosing to get pets instead of having children, furbabies across the country are becoming more and more spoiled.

About 69 percent of Americans have at least one pet in their home, with 45 percent of them being dogs, 35 percent cats, and 9 percent fish.

A survey by YouGov found that 88 percent of American pet owners consider their pets members of their family.

Two-thirds of all owners said they have allowed their pet to sleep in bed with them, while over half said they buy them gifts for the holiday season.

Pets actually get more gifts than neighbors and coworkers. About one in three owners buys their pets gifts for the holidays, while only about one in 10 plan to get one for their coworkers or neighbors.

The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 2.7 million views and 500,000 likes on the platform.

One user, Meranda, commented: “Can you imagine going out of town and having to explain this to the dog sitter?”

Mimi said: “I love how it’s so easy for something goofy to become a part of a dog’s routine.”

Noneya added: “As you should. Dogs are nothing but loyal love buckets of cuteness.”

Hey it’s Birdie wrote: “My dogs wait for me to sing the ‘night night’ song every night before they will go lay down for bedtime. 100 percent all my fault.”
