Caleb Williams made some significant strides in his second NFL season, improving his play under Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson.
Now heading into his third NFL campaign, the 24-year-old signal caller hopes to make yet another leap.
“There’s so much to unlock,” Williams said, via Larry Mayer of the Bears’ official website. “There’s so much to get better at. There’s so much left of ball for me and us and accolades that we’ll have as a team.”
Williams wants to be efficient as possible while limiting turnovers committed by his offense. Through 17 regular-season games in 2025, the former No. 1 overall pick completed 58.1% of his passes for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
“Get the completion percentage up,” Williams said. “Keep the offense on the field more. Be the highest scoring offense. Whether it’s handoffs or passes, whatever, that doesn’t matter; it’s just being able to put up as many points as possible to help our team win as many games as possible and then keeping the turnovers very low.
“Being able to put the ball in the best position for the wide receivers first starts with a completion,” he added. “And then from there you grow in the confidence from completing the ball … to ‘how can I place the ball better for these guys in these situations and moments throughout the games and practices?'”
Williams and the Bears will begin their 2026 regular-season campaign with a Week 1 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 13.
