The outstanding and outrageous gathered on California's Monterey Peninsula to celebrate the past, present and future of the automotive industry during Monterey Car Week.

During the event from August 8 to 17, there was something for everyone, from vintage car races and new vehicle reveals to branded houses offering luxury perks to their devotees.

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering proved it is turning into the industry's answer to the shuttered Geneva International Motor Show with another full day of vehicle debuts including the Bugatti Brouillard, Rivian R1S Quad Pebble Beach, Chevrolet Corvette CX and CX.R Vision Gran Turismo, Lamborghini Fenomeno and Infiniti QX65 Monograph, among others.

Hot off the heels of announcing his company's new electric vehicle plans, Ford CEO Jim Farley raced at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on the Saturday, placing first in the Ken Miles Sixties GT Trophy race while driving his 1964 Shelby Cobra 289.

Ford surprised Car Week attendees by debuting their Bronco Roadster Concept on Saturday, following their other debuts: Bronco and Bronco Sport Silver Lake Dunes SUV Project Vehicles and the Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon sports car.

Car auctions graced the schedule as well. RM Sotheby's sold the most expensive car of the week, a one-of-one 2025 Tailor Made Ferrari Daytona SP3, which cost $26 million at the hammer drop. All proceeds from the sale benefited The Ferrari Foundation, an education-focused charity.

Just down the road from the auctions, Slate hosted a pop-up with its new vehicle, welcoming potential customers at the Captain + Stoker coffee shop.

The week was capped off on Sunday with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, one of the pinnacle classic and antique car shows in the world. Crowds gathered at sunrise for the Dawn Patrol load-in then changed into their finery to take in the sights on the lawn during the day.

"Monterey Car Week is one of the most glamorous motoring, technology and lifestyle events in the world. It's both an honor and a responsibility for us to have a distinctive brand presence here," Marcus Breitschwerdt, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Heritage GmbH, told Newsweek.

"Mercedes-Benz vehicles have won the Best of Show Award at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 10 times. The world is watching. That's why we invite everyone to experience Mercedes-Benz icons of yesterday, today and tomorrow."

Those not on the lawn were at various brand houses. Range Rover, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Ferrari all welcomed guests who were able to shop at curated boutiques, experience the latest vehicles and enjoy perks like a complimentary massage before ordering their new bespoke model.

A 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C Nieuport-Astra Torpedo was called on stage at the end of the Concours, winning Best of Show honors to close out the week.
