MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Universe Philippines organization revealed the top six entries upon the culmination of the 2026 pageant's National Costume Competition in Pangasinan.
Leading the awardees was Baguio City's Roxie Baeyens with her swan-decked costume that was inspired by the Burnham Park rides.
Also chosen was Pampanga's Allyson Hetland who wore a beautifully executed Mestiza dress.
The other awardees were Jacqueline Gulrajani (Tacloban City), Nicklyn Jutay (Iloilo Province), Alexandria Colmenares (Negros Occidental), and hometown girl Donna Rein Nuguid (Pangasinan).
Other noteworthy ensembles included:
- Apriel Smith's (Cebu City) "Queen of the Holy Waters" costume inspired from the Sinulog Festival
- Felicia Aldana's (Bacoor City) shellfish inspired ensemble that harkened to the profusion of mussels from her city
- Charieze Lianne Cacayorin's (Ilocos Norte) homage to our sea-faring tradition and Austronesian heritage
- Justine Felizarta's (Manila) homage to the Galleon Trade between Acapulco and Manila
- Bea Millan Windorski's (La Union) encapsulation of her environmental work in her hometown, San Juan
- Fatima Alsowyed's (Negros Oriental) fish life approximation
- Nicole Borromeo's (Cebu Province) multicolored "Rayna sa Kadagatan" ensemble that celebrated our archipelago's reef life and marine biodiversity

This year's costumes wove through the waters connecting our islands – from lakes, streams to rivers, and unto the open seas; celebrating our beautiful bodies of water.
Hosted by reigning Miss Eco Philippines Dr. Gabbi Carballo, the 2026 National Costume Competition unfolded from the Urdaneta City Cultural & Sports Center in Pangasinan, and was beamed live to a global audience through Playtime's channel on YouTube.
The preliminary events conclude with the closed door interviews on April 19 before the coronation night on May 2 in the Mall of Asia Arena where the delegates are vying to succeed Miss Universe 2025 3rd runner-up Ahtisa Manalo as the national titleholder.
The next Miss Universe Philippines will represent the country in the diamond edition of Miss Universe to be held in Puerto Rico later this year.
