MANILA, Philippines — The local operations of audio streaming platform Spotify is launching an "Editors' Picks" playlist dedicated to Filipino songs.
The all-new "Editors' Picks: Best OPM Songs of the Year So Far" by the Spotify Philippines' editorial team lists, in no particular order, 50 local tracks that are making waves halfway through the year.
The team listened to hundreds of OPM songs released in the first half of 2026, discussing and debating which songs "put human taste at the center of music dicovery" to make the cut.
Lead editor Chesca Tan said in a statement that OPM is filled with artists with distinct, unique sounds, complimenting in particular the sharp songwriting, adventurous sound and production, and influence from everywhere.
"As editors, we're immersed in the artists, communities, and conversations shaping Filipino music every day — and this list reflects it," Tan added. "We're excited for listeners to discover these 50 songs, the music that continues to soundtrack lives everywhere."
