MANILA, Philippines — Bea Alonzo, the dazzling acclaimed actress, marked a milestone in her life with pieces from her favorite jewelry brand.
“When we started working together, I got myself a classic natural diamond tennis wristband that I wear almost every day. So, yeah, that's why I did that and I think it's truly special because I like jewelry that I wear, and it makes you feel dressed up even if you’re not,” the Kapuso actress said.
Bea was recently launched as My Diamond's ambassador held in SM Aura in Taguig.
The diamond label, which offers rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets vetted and sourced from reputable, ethical suppliers, launched its White Halo collection, which it said “redefines modern fine jewelry, where brilliance is measured not only in sparkle, but in purpose, meaning, and mindful choice.”
“I like different things. I like sometimes hardware. I like gold. I like silver. I like natural. I like lab-grown. I think it really depends on how a piece makes you feel,” said the screen queen, who was last seen on TV in “Widows’ War.”
“I think it all really boils down to that and what your current style is. Because sometimes we evolve. Like what you said, we have different eras. So, right now, I'm in my sporty diamond era,” the beautiful Bea said.
Before Bea even came into the picture last year as the brand ambassadress, the brand had the White Halo collection ready.
“I remember swooning over the pieces that I saw. I said, 'Oh my gosh, these are like real diamonds.' Even though the process of creating these diamonds or harvesting these diamonds is different. But the craftsmanship and the beauty are the same,” Bea said.
“You can see the brilliance. It's the same,” she gushed. “And I really salute MyDiamond for doing that. And for having all the options in one piece, you know?"
Do you have a favorite piece in the collection?
“I mean, well, the shapes normally. I really don't, but I gravitate towards the heart shapes. I like princess dots. I like little things around one. I like collecting all,” the luminous actress said. “Lahat naman tayo, 'di ba? I'm into oval shapes right now, to be honest.”
