MANILA, Philippines — As envisioned by the consummate New Yorker Ralph Lauren, through his retail brand, Polo Ralph Lauren, the American West comes to life — in fashion terms — in the Philippines.
In time for the reopening of its store at the posh Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City, its very first location in the country, the globally recognized brand presents its Fall 2025 collection marked by “rugged authenticity and natural elegance.”
Both stylish and functional, the pieces in the collection have Polo's signature aesthetic, including the renowned polo player logo and the Polo Bear, incorporated in the colorful shirts, comfy sweatshirts, bags and caps.
Men's Polo, as emphasized in the company notes, combines collegiate classics and time-honored English haberdashery with downtown styles and all-American sporting looks in sportswear and tailored clothing. Women's Polo, meanwhile, represents the epitome of classic and iconic American style with a modern and cool twist.
“There is a woman who I am inspired by, who loves dressing in unexpected ways, who changes her look as her mood changes from morning to night, from day to day. One day she chooses romantic ruffles mixed with velvet jodhpurs and tall leather boots,” said Ralph Lauren of the brand’s Fall 2025 Ready-To-Wear line, which easily extends to the aesthetic of the Polo Ralph Lauren range.
The designer stepped down as chief executive officer of his company in September 2015 but still serves as executive chairman and chief creative officer.
The Fall 2025 campaign takes the Lauren loyalists to “an epic story of adventure and romance, glamour and rusticity, from weathered log cabins to mountain estates.”
The spirit of freedom and refinement are very much evident in the utilitarian, layered clothes that are at home at American mountains, such as the Sierra Nevada, the Cascades, and Rocky Mountains, as much as our very own Bukidnon trails, Tagaytay highlands and a stylish trek through the Sierra Madre, perhaps?
