Honey Butter Loaf
Ingredients:
For the bread dough:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsps. Bake Dream Yeast
2 tbsps. Arla Butter
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
1/3 cup fresh milk
1/2 cup water
For the honey butter:
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
3 tbsps. honey
To serve:
Speculoos Spread
Speculoos bits
Ice cream
Procedure:
For the bread:
1. Mix all the ingredients for the dough and knead for 15 minutes.
2. Let rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
3. Divide dough and shape.
4. Let rise again for 45 minutes.
5. Bake in a preheated 325°F/165°C oven (if using oven with fan) or 350°F/180°C oven (if using oven without fan) for 15 minutes. Flip tray at the 10- to 12-minute mark to make breads bake evenly.
For the honey butter:
1. Melt together butter, sugar and honey.
2. Dip top and sides of bread in it to fully coat the bread with the glaze.
3. Slice and serve with Speculoos spread with sprinkles of Speculoos bits and, if desired, top with ice cream.
