Belle just released her eight-track album ‘Like U.’

In the movie trailer for “Tayo sa Wakas,” Belle Mariano’s character asks, “Where are we now?” during a car scene, to which Donny Pangilinan’s character replies, “We’re still here.”

The same question was posed to Belle during a Star Magic’s Spotlight presscon regarding their love team, DonBelle. “Andito pa rin. That’s his answer in the trailer. And DonBelle is always here,” she affirmed.

Helmed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, “Tayo sa Wakas” marks the big-screen reunion of DonBelle after “Love is Colorblind” and “An Inconvenient Love.”

“Tayo sa Wakas” is set to hit cinemas on May 27.

Fans can expect a “more mature” and emotionally charged film, according to Belle. “It is filled with more emotions. And I feel na sobrang ma-cha-challenge ako sa role, but I’m excited for that challenge.”

Belle and Donny’s onscreen partnership has spanned five years since their first series, “He’s Into Her.” Belle conveyed her gratitude to Donny for his support over the years as well as to the tandem’s fans for their continued support.

“To Donny, well, thank you. He’s so supportive. He really is and I wouldn’t be here without him, you know. So, I’m very grateful to him,” she expressed.

“And to our supporters, grabe yung suporta nila like after five years, they’re (still) there. Parang di namin sila supporters, parang pamilya namin sila. And nakakatuwa ‘cause whenever I attend like anniversary ng fandom, nakakatuwa na they’re more than just supporters, they’re actually friends with one another… So, nakakatuwa seeing that and we love you.”

When asked if she ever felt like she was falling for Donny because they were always together in several projects, Belle said, “Grabe naman. You know what, feeling ko, to be an effective actor, you really fall in love with the person you’re supposed to fall in love with in the story. So, kinikilig talaga ako whenever I do scenes with him. It’s really genuine.”

When furthered why their love team did not turn into a real-life relationship, Belle reacted, “Oh, my gosh. For me, Donny is really a special person in my life and I continue to say that he’s such a blessing to me. “He’s really someone close to my heart. That’s all I can say,” she added.

Belle was also queried if someone was courting her, and her response was, “My heart is always open.”

Aside from her upcoming movie with Donny, Belle also shared during the presscon details about her recently released album “Like U,” which includes songs Like You, The Puzzle, Makulay, Numbers Don’t Lie, among others. It’s now available on all streaming platforms.

“Ever since po kasi, I feel like my heart is really drawn to music,” she admitted. “This is something that I’ve always wanted...With everything that’s happening, we want to put something out there that’s light and very gentle sa puso natin... That’s the message we want to convey to everyone who listens to my music.”

She aims to write more songs and release more music this year.

“To be able to put out more songs na sulat ko po. I really want to write songs... I just really need to have that time to write and think,” she said.

Meanwhile, Belle took to Instagram Stories to call for kindness while urging everyone to reflect during Holy Week.

“Hi all, I call on everyone to let go of the negativity and hate that’s been going around. There are bigger, more important things that need our attention,” she posted. “Let’s choose kindness, patience and understanding. Wag na po tayong mag-away. Have a blessed Holy Week, everyone!”

This came after Donny wrote on X (formerly Twitter), calling on fandoms to refrain from spreading online negativity and to stop comparing people, following a viral video involving him and Kapuso artist Shuvee Etrata, who was seen fangirling over him.

“Hey guys, I’m out of the country right now on a short break but I’ve been seeing a lot online. I don’t usually speak up, but I think it’s about time we stop spreading hate and constantly comparing people. There are far more important things happening in our country,” he said.

“As for Belle, please keep her out of your narratives. She is beautiful, talented, and most importantly, has a great heart. Nothing you say or do will change that,” he added.
