MANILA, Philippines — Actor-producer Brad Pitt broke his silence on his divorce from Angelina Jolie, six years since their split was made official.

The Oscar winner spoke to GQ Magazine to promote his upcoming movie "F1" hitting theaters this July.

Toward the end of the interview, Pitt noted to writer Daniel Riley that his personal life is always in the news.

"It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way," Pitt added.

Riley asked the actor if shooting "F1" was a refuge from all the attention he has been getting, which Pitt said it was not exactly the case.

"It's been an annoyance I've had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do," Pitt continued. "So, it's always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that, I don't know."

Pitt added that he "mostly feels pretty" and his life is "fairly contained," thanks to friends, family, and loved ones.

The reporter then brought Pitt and Jolie's divorce being officialized last year. Riley asked if Pitt felt anything different about it such as relief.

"No, I don't think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally," Pitt answered.

The former celebrity couple settled their divorce at the end of 2024 after eight years of legal disputes. They were together for 12 years but only married in 2014.

None of the their six children are reportedly on speaking terms with Pitt, with one of them Shiloh legally dropping the Pitt surname.
