MANILA, Philippines – For all the pilates girlies and fitness enthusiasts out there, another global athleisure label has entered the Philippine market!
It’s Oysho, Spain’s activewear and lifestyle brand under the Inditex Group (the same company behind ZARA), which opened its first store this September on the second floor of SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

The store spans 659 square meters, with 428 sqm dedicated to sales space. It follows a single-floor layout divided into different sections: the Welcome Zone with a handcrafted ceramic block wall highlighting Oysho’s core collection of leggings and tops in various lengths, compressions, and styles; the Club Zone finished with natural oak wood; and the Basics Zone with zipper rails for product displays.

There are six fitting rooms clad in oak wood panels and warm lighting, and at the entrance, the Wow Zone displays Oysho’s seasonal athleisure collections and limited-edition colors.

Oysho’s façade, clad in natural stone, resembles the modern look of newer ZARA branches in the Philippines. Inside, minimalist interiors and a custom linear lighting system unify the space.
What to (active)wear?
Oysho’s range on display can feel overwhelming at first — from leggings and hoodies to smaller essentials like scrunchies, hair clips, yoga mats, caps, shoes, and bags — there’s a lot to peruse.

The contemporary designs in trendy and basic colors (burgundy, navy blue, beige, black, royal blue, mauve pink, and more) are versatile enough for workouts, sports, or everyday wear, with fabrics designed for comfort and technical support. There are options for different levels of compression and bra support (high, medium, or low), and the materials vary from lightweight and breathable to high-resistance for more intensive activity.

Among the lines available is Oysho Studio, which caters to indoor activities like yoga, pilates, barre, and fitness, and collections for outdoor sports, including skiing and paddle. According to the brand, its compression technology is meant to provide comfort and freedom of movement.

Sizes here range from XXS to XXL for certain items. Prices are comparable to ZARA’s range: around P1,800 for a medium-support sports bra, over P5,000 for a sports bra and high-rise leggings set, and over P3,000 for a breathable, transpirable hoodie.

Oysho was founded in Arteixo, Spain, in 2001, initially focusing on underwear and loungewear before expanding into sportswear and activewear. Today, it has more than 600 stores in 44 markets, including Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and the United States.
In the Philippines, Oysho is exclusively distributed by the Tantocos’ Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI). The Inditex Group also operates Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, and ZARA Home. – Rappler.com
